Chef positions range from crew cook on smaller vessels to head chef on superyachts over 80 metres. Salaries for yacht chefs typically range from 4,000 to 9,000 euros per month depending on yacht size and experience. An STCW basic training certificate and an ENG1 medical are required, and a culinary qualification is strongly preferred. Peak hiring for chef roles happens in March and April for the Mediterranean season and October and November for the Caribbean season.
