Bosun jobs are the senior deck role, reporting directly to the first officer or captain. A bosun leads the deck team in line handling, washdowns, tender operations, water toy maintenance, and exterior upkeep. Bosun positions are typically found on yachts over 40 metres. Salaries for bosuns typically range from 4,000 to 5,500 euros per month depending on yacht size and experience. An STCW basic training certificate, an ENG1 medical, and several seasons of deckhand experience are usually required.
